Telomycin is a macrocyclic peptide lactone antibiotic originally isolated from Streptomyces. It is active against Gram-positive bacteria, including S. aureus, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and E. faecium (MICs = 4, 2, and 16 μg/ml, respectively). Telomycin eradicates B. anserina spirochetosis infection in chicks.
